Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace the Hayes family back. I have managed to get it back to john Hayes, Born C1830 in shrewsbury, (we are all still currently living in shrewsbury as well). but I can't seem to find any more.

John Hayes was married to Sarah Shaw, Daughter of Abraham Shaw and Susannah Orme.

Also......what does the "pedigree" bit mean?

I am not too good at this, despite doing it for about a year, but am still very much a novice! xx

I got the info from www.familysearch.org

For Sussanah it would appear that she was born in Stafford although for Abraham there were a few came up for Shropshire in early 1800's also appears to be Shrewsbury

Marriage of John and Susan - once again Stafford which would bear out Susannah being born there.

Yep thats definately them.

With regards to john Hayes, Head of Household....I can't find anything on him and his parents ata ll?

Any ideas where i could look next? xxx

Ive got him in 1851, where he was visiting/living with Sarah Shaw in Catle Forgate in shrewsbury, but nothing else xx

it could be them, as one of their daughters was born in liverpool.

there first child, John, was born in 1853.......would they really have got married 11 years after their first born?

I would do this as I am a little confused regarding the birthplace of John although it does say Shrewsbury on the 1881 census

This John fits in with the 1881 census posted - place name of birth.

Yes I think they may be the same ones as spellings do vary quite a bit

As I said if the marriage posted above is correct for 1851 send for the cert this will confirm fathers names.
