On the birth cert i have for GF they are living in whitehead Street Father is a plumber journeyman.

I have seen the 2 births and have spoke to the records office about it the 2nd one is nothing to do with with my GF

I wonder if they got her maiden name wrong

Was the occupation for father on Your birth cert the same on 1911 and was address the same ?


On the 1901 he is a Plumber journeyman living Potters Hill

Thanks June, have sent off for the marriage of Frederick and Helen and also one of the possible other children to see what her name is down as Broadhead/Blackwell

Certs wont be here till after the 17th. I just cant think of any other explanation as to why her name is so different,

Sorry Potty, I have applied for this and it comes back with mothers name as Julia Helen Green formerly Blackwell the father is Frederick Green, it is just very different to the Ellen Broadhead that is on my GF birth cert, this is half the problem. It is the Broadhead/Blackwell name - I can accept Ellen or Helen

These are the only two Frederick Greens b1900 coming up for Aston:

You could order the certs giving father's name as a checking point. If it isn't correct they will refund part of the cost.

I have seen this and yes it would fit in with the births of the children, but how can I be 100% it is them, I am happy to pay for the cert but it still wont confirm anything : - (

Apart from the one cert I have of my GF, the other children's births are tricky as Green is so common and also very common in Aston too.

Any help with this would really be appreciated.

Charles Leslie Green born July 1909 in Aston to Frederick and Ellen Green formerly Broadhead - cant find a marriage at all, on the 1911 she calls herself Helen, both born 1879, he is Aston and her in Lemington, on the 1911 they have 3 other children. I just dont seem to be able to go any further with this or the children. Any thoughts Ideas would really help and be appreciated.
