Nightmare?!? It's FUN!

Why do you think we're hanging around here when we all have things we should be doing? ;)

Well, I know I do ... !

Laura

The grandaughter Grace is with her Grandparents Samuel and Sarah on the 1881 census, two other children are there Joseph and Eliza, who match Samuel and Sarahs children on the 1871 census.

Laura

It's always best to confirm info to be on the safe side

But i would get 1 of the childrens B/C first to see what Hannahs maiden name was

Hi Everyone,

thank you for all the super quick replies: the main reason i had Hannah Ford is because someone looked into somne info for me on here for thomas bramall and came back with hannah ford as spouse. i guess i need to get the marriage cert to check what's what! but thank you for the extra info, much appreciated!

Well, I'm glad I didn't decide to spend too much time pursuing it with this totally inaccurate information to go on ... got as far as there being no Hannah Ford + Thomas Bram* marriage ...

So I wonder what the explanation is.

On the 1891 census two doors away lived a Sarah Ellis with her grandaughter Grace.

On the 1871 census it does seem that that Sarah has a daughter Hannah c1867.

Can you tell us when she married, and perhaps reproduce the census information for the household showing her date and place of birth?

If you haven't searched for that, you can consult the 1881 census free of charge at Ancestry.

http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/census/uk/default.aspx

That's what anybody else would be doing, but you may as well do it first! It may answer your question about where she was born.

To start at the beginning, though, have you searched for her birth?

Hi there,

can anyone help with any info on hannah ford, born circa 1867. i can't confim she was born in Chesterfield, but she certainly lived there when she married Thomas Bramall. She had children Mark, Samuel, Grace and LIza.

thanks, Laura
