I am looking for help trying to find out what happened to Alfred Thompson after 1861. In the 1861 Census he was staying with his mother Jane Thompson who was unmarried. (No father on birth certificate) who was still at home at the age of 23 with her father Robert Thompson in High Street North Ferriby. The trail for both Jane and Alfred goes cold after this point in time. No obvious death enties in BMD between 1860 - 1871 for either. In 1871 father Robert is still a gardener in North Ferriby b ut Jane, Alfred, Ann (also grand daughter and son Thomas are no longer there). I cannot fing any marriages for a Jane Thompson between Dec 1860 and Dec 1871 that reveal a Jane, Alfred or Ann in census data of 1871. I believe Ann may have died in 1871 in Hull - Ann E Thompson died age 13 which would fit with year of birth of 1857. Any suggestions or strategies most welcome. |

Ann Eliza Thompson died in Jan - March quarter 1871 so would not have appeared in 1871 census. |
