Helen, His mother had two younger children though, both were working ,the son , my grandfather working on the docks and the daughter as a domestic, she also had a married daughter living with them. jean |

I do have the 1901 census for his mother and three of his siblings , although her name on that has reverted back to Moore and she is the head , jean |

Hi Helen, it could very well be him, i know his father Henry Moore died in 1891, but his mother didn't die until 1924, she remarried in 1893, maybe his stepfather didn't want to take the children on, but would Alexander be put into the orphan home I wonder. jean |

Thank you both very much for all the info, i didn't have henry or margaret's birth details, i will go through the births for henry and try to decide which one he was, i have got the marraige and the 1881 census is my family, i jusy can't seem to find outanything after this for alexandernand some of his siblings but i am doing them one at a time. regards jean |

i'm hoping someone can help please, i have been looking for ages on scotlands people for my gr.uncle alexander moore born c 1880 in anderston, glasgow, last time i have him is on the 1891 census living in glasgow, can't find a marraige or death . His parents were henry d.o.b.1846 and margaret stewart d.o.b.c 1847, any help would be much appreciated. jean |
