I an trying to trace my granfather's family. His name was William Boyd he originated from Scotland, married Annie Purdy around 1918 give or take a couple of years. They settled in Ashington Northumberland and had 5 daughters Elizabeth (Bett), Rachel ,Mabel (my mum) Agnes and Margaret, They also had twin sons who both died either at birth or when they were very young. I know he had a brother called Joe (i think) who was involved in a working mens club in ashington (not sure which one) and that they named the Chapman Lounge in his honour ,or so I've been told and thats as much as I know about him because he died about 4 years before I was born . Any information would be gratefully received. From Sheila Whibley |

Do you know when/where he was born? If so, you need to get his birth certificate, if not, his marriage cert will tell you age when he married. |
