I'm looking for anyone called Taylor who is from or has connections to Droitwich in Worcestershire. I've been lead to believe that my Gt Grandmother Harriett Hunt (nee Taylor) came from the town and that her family were connected with the Raven Hotel there (may have worked there rather than being proprieters of the place). I'm talking of during the 19th century here. Harriett was born 1860/61 and died in 1919, in Birmingham. I'm just keen to know about her early life.

His name was Charles Hunt. He appears on the 1901 census as Chas Hunt. Then they were living in Birmingham. In the late 1890's they were living in Worcester city centre - daughters Alice (1896) and Ellen (1898) were born there (I have birth certificates to verify it). The 1901 census says that Charles was born in Birmingham and Harriett in Worcester, but thanks to a cousin descended from their only son, they may have both come from Droitwich. I'm looking for marriage details particulary but have failed so far with the GRO records - nothing at all for a Charles Hunt and Harriet/t Taylor. Harriett signed her name with 2 t's at the end but it was often spelt with just 1. It is believed Charles was born 20th April 1864. He died in Birmingham on 10th January 1942 aged 77. I don't the names of their parents.
