Should wait for the answer ... but one might guess that this is Dorothy's birth:

Births Jun 1914
DAWSON Dorothy A Davies Wandsworth 1d 1270

leaving it quite possible if not probable that Thomas came from somewhere else.

His marriage certificate will give you his father's name and occupation, and his age at marriage (hopefully accurate).

That will be essential info if you do try finding a birth certificate -- to match up the fathers' names -- in any event.

Do you know Dorothy's birth details?

She was Dorothy A. Dawson from the marriage reg -- Wandsworth, 1d 1191, Oct-Dec 1937. Her death certificate too should give a birthdate. Knowing those details could help situate Thomas, although of course they could also be no help at all, lol.

Thomas had three sons. The eldest who registered his death is not alive any more. I don't know if it is a man thing but they don't know the day he was born or where. His wife is not alive either. They were married in Wandsworth.

I did post this on the surname section but I was hoping someone on here may be able to give some advice. Thomas Williams was born in August of 1905 (no date). He married Dorothy Dawson on 26/12/1937. Thomas died in a road traffic accident on 25/7/1959. We have a death certifcate but have no idea how to find out the day in August he was born and where. We were wondering if a driving licence would have held his date of birth back then. If so how do you find out that kind of information. I know with a name like Williams this will not be easy but any help would be greatly received. Thankyou. Sarah
