	There is a site called Genogold which has a lot of parish records online for parts of Devon and Cornwall. Liz

	Meeth is near Petrockstow and Buckland Filleigh. Also Sheepwash, Torrington and Ockehampton is a little further away.

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 3,133 Send Message	I would suggest the "way ahead" is to order one of the childrens birth certs, possibly Rowlands since it is an unusual name, to find Susans maiden name. William probably married before 1837 so IGI/PR's are the best bet, but as seen above there is a chance he married twice so his first marriage may have been to an Elizabeth. One of the earlier certs should help with that.

	Was Jane born after 1837? If so, her birth cert will give you her mother's maiden name.

I have census records for them in 1851, 61,81, living at Petrockstowe Devon, 1891 census after Susanna`s death living with daughter Jane and son-in-law James Ayre, would love to find Susanna`s maiden name.Thanks
