It was the Mary that you found that was born in Edmonthorpe and married to James, but the link isn't there now - I was a bit slow replying. |

Which Mary are you talking about? 1871 is the wife of John. 1851 is the wife of Patrick. Unfortunately I can't find any of them in 1861. |

I don't think that this is them, because the mother, Mary, would be too young to have a child born around 1850. I'm still looking but really struggling to find anything - not too good at it really. |

Its the parents of John Barry born 1850(?) that I need to try and find, I've been finding it difficult because they all seem to have the same name. I think that his parents may have come from Dublin but I'm not 100% on this, there is some Irish connection on that side. I do know that the Barry family came to the Leicester area and thats where they stayed. |

Trying to find information about John Barry b. 1850 married Mary Jane Garrett b 1849. May be connected to James Elmer b. 1845 and Mary Spencer. John Barry had a son John Barry b 12 June 1876 who died 6 September 1965. He married Keziah Cotton we think on 31 May 1896. They had a son called John Barry born 22 June 1896. He married Lily Rollett. They had 7 children - Ivy b. 1920, Lily Muriel b. 1924, John b. 1926, Morris b. 1929, Jean b. 1932, Sylvia b. 1933 and Carl b.1937. |
