Anybody who is interested I wrote to the sheep station and got a letter back from Mary Helens granddaughter aged 87 her parents came out to emigrate and then in 1921 her grandmother Mary Helen went out followed by Alexander Reid and they married in 1922 it was a sheep property Kuriong and her daughter still owns it and another member of the family lives at Muirhead which was built on the grounds of the sheep station for Alexander and Mary. I think I will write to the sheep station and take a chance, no we were not hurt it was stationary. We had a trip to the garage tday for the assessor but he did not arrive so had to come back on the bus with a two hour wait Sheila

Agree with Julie - the marriage cert will give you the info, also her death cert should give you a lot of info such as where born, parents names, previous marriages, etc. You can get a transcription of the certs for about half the price of an official cert from: www.joymurrin.com.au/

sorry for not replying beento Yoga will get in touch with Yass by email and thnks for the information Richard on the name and address. We have a relative who was born in Scotland 1860 who went out to Australia and he had been married before we do not know what happened to his wife he seemed to have married a Mary Helen who lived at this place her parents were George/Jane but have no surname. Alexander and Mary are buried at Harden. In 1924 he would have been 64 so no children from thi marraige. Sheila

Found it! Also found who is living there now. I can't put details of living people on here, but if you go to www.whitepages.com.au, then search under residential listings for - name Robertson, state - NSW, town Binalong, you'll find it!
