Yeah Sarah Craig was born 1st Aug 1928 in Glasgow and died in Westminster in 1981

No record on freebmd of Susan marrying Mcbride

She was called Sarah at birth not Susan and was definitely born in Glasgow as I have her birth cert....sorry for the confusion.
I don't know if she changed her name to Susan legally or not but she used it in London so from about the age of 20.
I don't know of any of Sarahs siblings sorry the woman is a bit of a mystery to me.
I don't know who registered her parents deaths as uv found more info about that than I have but I don't think it'll have been Sarah/Susan. Thanku for all ur help :)

Do you know Susan's siblings' names?

Unfortunately, if they were born in Scotland, it's not possible to use mmn as a search term to narrow down births after 1854.
Craig isn't an uncommon name.

Actually, I don't see Susan's birth in Glasgow in 1928, as you claim.


There were three Susan Craigs born in Scotland 1927-29.
One was registered twice, in Coupar Angus (Perthshire) and St Clement (Dundee).
One in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire; and the third only had Susan as a middle name, registered in Tongland, Kirkcudbrightshire.

Was that not her real name?

What were the full names of Sarah's parents?

I'm not looking for Galloway ancestors tbh.
I'm struggling with my mums side.
Her mum Sarah Craig was born in Glasgow in 1928. Sarah moved to London at about the age of 20 and used the name Susan Craig. She married a Maurice John Ryan or Cardell Ryan and used the surname Ryan. They divorced and she went on to marry an
Arthur McBride, so used that surname too.
She had about 11 children that she sadly went around the uk leaving with ppl...they were either adopted or fostered.
She died in 1981 in Westminster.
I'm not looking to find my mums siblings as I know of some of them but I would like to try and hopefully find families of Sarah's siblings.. she was of the Catholic faith so I'm hoping she had siblings.
My mum recently passed away and never got to find out Sarah's story. I'd like to find someone that can tell me about Sarah and maybe someone that has a pic of her.
I know her parents names but even doing a dna test I've only really matched with ppl from my dads side.
I don't know what to do now as everything I've thought of doing has drawn a blank.
Is it even possible to find siblings of a person if u don't know their details only the parents?
