Vera,
this is great, yes i think that Ruth is her sister,i found some info on LDS and thought it was the right family,so a bit more digging should get me some results.According to some one who is doing the Pirie's James Pirie came from Banff, but i can't find a marriage for him and Ruth so i can't put that info in my tree
All i know about her is that she was Margaret Ann Pirie,s mother and Margaret's father was James Pirie
All very frustrating

Hi,
i have an ancestor in the 1871 Census living with an uncle and aunt and i would like to know where the uncle and aunt were born.In the census that i have they don't appear to have any children of their own,but a whole load of nieces/ nephews etc.
I think the Aunt may be the sister of my ancestor Margaret Ann Pirie's mother,Ruth Anderson. So i would like to try and track her down.

Any way it is the other members of the Bannerman 1871 household ,and any other census that i would like know about
This is what i have so far

1871
Name: Margaret A Pirie
Age: 16
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1855
Relationship: Niece
Gender: Female
Where born: Turriff, Aberdeenshire
Registration Number: 196
Registration district: Fraserburgh
Civil Parish: Fraserburgh
County: Aberdeenshire
Address: 12 Fishcross St
Occupation: General Servant Domestic
ED: 2
Household schedule number: 92
Line: 7
Roll: CSSCT1871_37
Household Members: Name Age
Robert Anderson 16
Alexr Bannerman 36
Barbara Bannerman 31
Margaret A Pirie 16
Alexander Scott 19
William Scott 16

Any help on this would be very welcome indeed
Many thanks
Cathie
