There are these Charles Woods births on freebmd in Warwickshire for the right timescale.

If it were me, I would be inclined to order the one for Aston, Sept 1878 & specify the father's name should be Henry. (Easy to say when it's not my money :-) )

I have just been having a bit of a look and found a marriage for Edwin Brown to Annie Ferreday March 1897 but dont have either surname in my tree so not sure on that one either!

They could help if you can trace them as relatives.

Bit of a vain hope with a name like Brown :-))

They are listed as Edwin & Annie Brown - how could they help?

Do the witnesses on the marriage cert give any clues?

I would be asking myself why these husbands keep dying!!!!! lol

Maybe if this is the right one I will have to investigate that!
