Norman & Gordan were on the 1936 electoral roll but not the 1930 roll.
Therefore they were born between 1909 & 1915 as they had to be 21yrs to register to vote.

If I am correct and the service record for Bruce is 'your' Bruce, then I think that this might be the birth of Matilda's husband, William..? ?

Reg.No./Year .. 20484/1878
Name .. PEARSON WILLIAM JOHN
Father .. MARTIN TUXFORD
Mother .. MARY ANN
District .. PENRITH

His siblings... born Penrith...Parents... MARTIN TUXFORD & MARY ANN

18692/1876 PEARSON THOMAS HENRY
22600/1880 PEARSON ETHEL ROSE

Parents marriage...

Reg.No./Year .. 3400/1876
Groom .. PEARSON MARTIN TALFORD
Bride .. TUXFORD MARY A
District .. GULGONG

It's odd that Martins middle name changes from 'Talford' at his marriage to "Tuxford" at the birth of his children ?
And that 'Tuxford is actually Mary Ann's maiden name ?

Julcoe

Julcoe Report 19 Nov 2008 04:36

A possible birth for Martin..? ?

Reg.No./Year .. V18513527 37A/1851
Name .. PEARSON MARTIN T
Father .. THOMAS H
Mother .. ELIZA

You are going to have to buy certificates and work your way backwards confirming all this info.to know for sure that all this info which I have given you is correct.
Without certificate this is all guess work.

Have heard that Joy Murrin's transcription service is very good (google her)
Have not used her myself-- did not know about her when buying all my certificates (at FULL price !)

Kerry Report 19 Nov 2008 04:36

This could be quite possible as my Grandmother's name happens to be Lorna 'Tuxford 'Pearson and we all thought it to be a strange middle name!!!

Julcoe

Julcoe Report 19 Nov 2008 04:40

At least now you know where the name came from.

We added info at the same time which bumped yours to page 2. But check out the previous page as I (think) that I have found Martins birth, thus his parents.

Julcoe

Julcoe Report 19 Nov 2008 04:44

I only found the birth of 1 sibling for Martin, but not the marriage of his parents.
So it looks like its the immigration of Thomas & Eliza that we are looking for.

Reg.No./Year ..V18493027 34A/1849
Name .. PEARSON THOMAS H
Father .. THOMAS H
Eliza .. ELIZA

This most certainly does look correct Julie,it's so exciting to see what we presumed. We thought the Grandfather was Australian and Grandmother to be of English as I can remember my grandmum's accent. Thankyou more than a thousand times.

Julcoe Report 19 Nov 2008 11:53

You are very welcome.

Remember to buy some certificates, just to confirm everything.

If we could find Thomas & Eliza's dearth certificate, ther might be extra info, like the names of all their children and how long they had been in the 'colony'

Maybe that's for another day ?
