I have had to give in and ask if anyone is eagle eyed out there for me. I am starting to research Augustus Joseph M Smith as shown on his grave. His grandson thinks the M could stand for Munn or Munns. According to the grave he was born 1885 but his death age would make him born 1887. I have found his marriage in 1911 listed under Augustus Joseph M Smith.
I cannot find his birth at all. I have tried Smith, Munn [s] and Munn Smith but to no avail. Can anyone out there do any better?

Thanks Jenny

Could he be Scottish?

Think the marriage cert would be useful

When and where did he die?

Possible marriage in Lanarkshire in 1887 but a submitted record

John Smith to Ellen Meenan

The one I have been looking at in Scotland has father John as an upholsterer
