	Did he divorce their mother, Karen? (I see the marriage in 1991, in the index at Ancestry). That is, might he have remarried since then? The last child was born 1997 (again, from the index). A John J Chapman married in Yorkshire in 2003, and another in Cumberland the same year. They would seem to be the only candidates up to 2005. Could one of them be him? Knowing his current wife's name could help to locate him. He is very unlikely to see a message here or most anywhere else. However, volunteers at this website can often locate people. Situations like this can be delicate, though, involving privacy concerns. Before pursuing it, people would probably want to have an idea (privately, which is how the information would be provided) of the purpose of the search.
