hi there, i am trying to trace kate cornish and her family. kate was born in 1868 in sible hedingham in essex and married walter cox who was born in essex. they went on to have 6 children named ellen, ernest, walter, laura, george and joy. i am interested in kates parents as i dont have any information about them. thank u :)

From this you should have Kate's father's name - which will hopefully match with the info that Roy has posted. You'll also have her age at the date of her marriage which, with the age from the census (if it matches Roy's info) will narrow down the time span for her birth cert. (This assumes that she was not lying about her age and was not illegitimate ...)

yes that does seem to be her if that is the only kate cornish of the area at that time the dates match also it is possible that she named one of her daughters after her mum
