So you were looking at the wrong Thomas. It would have been easier if you'd put his middle name on your request. |

On the 1861 census there are 2 Thomas Tripps both with parents called James and Elizabeth and both born in Cornwall. One born Camborne the other born Phillack. Which one is yours? |

There are two Thomas Tripp's on the 1861 census with parents James and Elizabeth.Maybe you have them muddled?Also Elizabeth's surname on the 1881 census is White and it says visitor. |
