Could someone please check this death for me as I do not have World Membership on Ancestry.
I have seen this death in 2005 For the above lady registered in Santa Clara California.
Think this lady originates from England and was born in 1936:

Yes, this is the right person.
Thing is I have this person as born in March Quarter 1936, registered in Birmingham with mother maiden name Lawrence.
Married to a Gerald C J Blagden in 1957 in Surrey N.E.
No trace in England after that, but this person showed up on Ancestry in California with other information, such as her Death, Death of Gerald C Blagden, Plus Divorce in California Index 1966-1984.
Them marriage of Valerie D Blagden to William Carmody in Nevada?
All seems to tie up with my lady in England.
Looking for a result, for her son who was adopted in England.

I am stuck with this one as I can find nothing in England for Valerie D, WHO BEGAN LIFE AS WHITE.
Found marriage to Blagden then trail goes cold again.
The D I am told could be Doreen?
However, I have seen a Valerie Diane In California so not 100 percent certain, but nothing here in England matching up.
Any help with would be appreciated.

Hi Margaret: My mum, brother and I are still Canadian citizens, with no desire to change. I would love to move home, but doubt that will ever happen. :( However, my hubby and older son do vote, so it's fun to see the process.

Stateline is on the border between California and Nevada. Some Californians, looking for a quick, easy, or quiet wedding decide to marry in or around Stateline. (I believe Nevada has different waiting periods and licenses are easier to obtain in Nevada. I know someone who chose to get married there, simply because his bride didn't want a large wedding!)
Recorded City: Carson City is the capital of the State of Nevada.

Perhaps Valerie and her second husband wanted a quiet wedding. That area in Nevada is gorgeous. You can google Lake Tahoe to see photographs of the area. I will try to find other things.

The adopted son in England is going to get the birth certificate for his Mother to see if she was Valerie Doreen or Valerie Diane which may help us.
Is there anyway of checking if Valerie Diane Blagden was previously married before becoming Carmody?
Would it state she was single or divorced on her marriage certifiacte?

Laws in America and Canada are very tough. It is difficult to obtain certificates if the person is not a relative.

If he gets the birth certificate and it states his mother was Valerie Diane, I believe he should be able to order Valerie Diane's death certificate. My father passed away four years ago: there is a lot of information on the certificate; but, it only gives his place of birth as Canada (so Valerie Diane's death certificate probably won't give her exact place of birth).

There is a Public Record Index for Valerie Carmody, born May, 1937, living in San Jose. No date for the record, though.

If you can order Valerie Blagden's marriage certificate, I BELIEVE it will state if she was single.
