I wonder if anyone can help me. Have finally received the correct birth certificate for Thomas Henry Smith born 10.03.1931 in Rotherham to Thomas H Smith and Alice Smith nee Stoddard.

I wonder if anyone can tell me if there are any brothers or sisters for him in this marriage or give me a tip where to search. Have tried free BMD and come up with nothing.

Would appreciate any help, I had such high hopes that the birth certificate would lead me somewhere.

You would need to search the quarters for more births i think as there is no marriage showing on freebmd so i think thomas is the eldest.
if you give me a short while i will search a few years for a marriage for alice and thomas.

Thank you Vivienne, very grateful, Looks like he was the oldest then.

Will set about trawling the births index now - that may take some time
