Thanks everyone who helped me tonight - it appears that the Laidler's were the grandparents - therefore parents of Margaret. So that explains where they were in the 1901.

Still need to trace Margaret after 1891 census and her other daughter Margaret.

The child mentioned in the 1901 Fabie was aged 7 - maybe Margaret died in child birth - but why can't I find a death record for her.?

In 1901, Edward is clearly recorded as being 'married'

Elizabeth Reece, widow, is his housekeeper.

I asked on the other thread did Edward marry Margaret J Laidler because of the two girls in 1901 living with Laidler family.

Thanks GB - I was thinking I was on the wrong track - hadn't made that connection - Susannah's middle name was Elizabeth - DOB right. Just need to follow up were Margaret was!!!

Could be Elizabeth shown as living with grandparents - Laidler

Marriage status was blank in 1901 and he was living with an Elizabeth Reece - if this is the right person.

I know he had two further daughters because one was my gggrandmother - Susannah.

What leads you to say that Margaret had two further daughters?

Do you have their birth certs?

If this is the daughter Eleanor, then they also had another daughter Elizabeth.

Can anyone help me with a look up for a death of Margaret Stark born 1870. I last have here on the 1891 census living with husband Edward and daughter Eleanor aged 1.
She had two more daughters - Susannah in 1891. Margaret in 1893.
On the 1901 census I cannot find her at all - I have a possible for Edward but living with another woman and child - Fabie Stark aged 7.
No mention of the two other daughters living with him.

Thought maybe she had died in that decade. But not sure were the girls were living!!
In 1891 living at 24 Dorothy St, Gateshead.

Any info would be gratefully appriecated.
