Good morning Jackie.....George Ludlam did in fact come from Youlgreave born 1847..but he's not on the Register becasue it stops at 1840....Howevr I have found him on the 1891 Census...under the name of Ludlow..a mistranscription of Ludlam....He is married to Mary A and they have six children..I'm hoping they match up with something you already have.......

Both parents are from Youlgreave, and i'm fairly sure Mary A is the Mary Ann you asked about..

The other George Ludlam is 1848 from South Wingfield..and my records for that village go to 1910..and he's not in it.....

Hi jackie..I think you're right..
Certainly Edward Buxton married Sarah Brunt 27.09.1842.
Unfortunately Youlgreave registers end 1841....
Which means its back to census

Mary Ann Buxton.b circa 1845..which could mean 1847.cos we're all aware of the frailties of early census accuracy..but she WAS born Youlgreave and her parents wer Edward and Sarah..and her two sisters were Eliza 1843.and Phillis 1850.

Mary Ann did marry George Ludlam..but I don't hasve the marriage or his birth..He is supposed to have come from South Wingfield and o have the disc but he's not on it...

By the way Sarah Brunt remarried!

Hi i wonder if anyone could help me please? I am looking for info on george buxton b1768c derbyshire who married hannah ? and had a son edward buxton b1790 derbyshire(who married elizabeth spencer), i am interested to see if they had any more children but dont know where to look to be honest as not having much luck..
