I DO wish you luck in finding her!

Hi Dea x,
Good thought but unfortunatley the ashes of both parent Norah and James were scattered on the lawn so I don't suppose there is a plaque.

Just another thought - a 'very long shot', BUT....

I can't remember where I heard it, or all the details but I read somewhere recently about someone writing a similar letter, sealing it in plastic and attaching it somehow onto the grave in the hope that a relative might visit the grave and read it.

In this case it seemed to have been succesful, although I think it took a while.

I know you can't do it personally as you are in Australia but if you ask on here for someone who might live near the Cemetery and would be willing to do this for you, you never know??

Hi Dea x,
I did correspond with the crematorum and the secretary said that if I wrote a letter to Patricia and send a blank envelope she would send it to the correct address however when she checked Patricia had moved and she did not know where. I did ring a few Patricia Stanfords by the married names but no luck. I did however find a Patricia Stanford who married in 1965 to a Bass but I cannot find the corresponding namefor the groom.
Thank you all for you kindness and please excuse my typing.

George.

Hi George,

This 'thing' about Privacy Rules, whilst I agree should be strictly adhered to, can sometimes be 'got around' slightly without actually breaking them.

You could ask the people at the Cemetry if they would be willing to pass 'your' contact details on to the person you wish to contact.

You could perhaps write a letter saying who you are and why you wish to contact her and giving your details so that she could contact you if she wished.

I have found that many 'organisations' are willing to pass such a letter on as it is not breaching the rules.

Worth a try perhaps?

Have you tried getting one of her parents death certs. Patricia might be the informant then you will have her married name. (If she married)

Hi All,
I have been helped so many times in the past and I am so greatful for the assistance given. I am wondering if somebody could tell me how I would go about looking for a living relative, her maiden name was Patricia A Stanford and she was born in 1846 in what I believe to be Birmingham. As I live in Western Australia I am at a loss trying too find her. Her mother was Norah Stanford and her father Eric were cremated in the Robinhood Crematorium and Cemetery, I did contact them but because of privacy rules they could not give me a contact number.Patricia's mother Norah was born to an Elizabeth Bridget Littlewood whose mother was Margaret Palmer who was my great Aunt. Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.
