Hi.I have begun to look for my mothers side of my family who were unfortunately both davies. Info I have so far.....father william thomas davies 5/10/1896, and mother irene tugela davies 9/2/1900, both i believe born in neath, West glamorgan. William thomas's parents were William davies and katherine williams. I have no other info on them. Irene tugela's parents were John davies and emily unknown. again no furthur info. If anyone can help me find more info on these ancestors i would be very grateful. I have all the info from william thomas and irene tugela (my grandparents) down to myself, i just need help to go back furthur generations. Thanks very much

As cagsie said, it looks like Emily could be nee Green BUT...
You should buy Irene Tugela birth certificate and see what names are listed as her parents.
cagsie has given you the info. to order this certificate .
Then is her mother was Emily Green, order their marriage certificate, (cagsie has also given you the info for this), and you should get their fathers names .
With this extra info. you should be able to trace them further on the census records

In case you do not know...
to order certificates go to www.gro.gov.uk

When they ask if you have the GRO number tick 'yes'
this is just the Vol. & Page numbers which is in the info which cagsie has given you

Certificate cost 7 pounds
