his death certificate said it was brighton and my dad said he was born in brighton.i know for definate he was married in brighton as i have the marriage cert. my dad said his dad lied about his age to get into the war. this may be the reason i cant find him, thanks for replying. lisa

What evidence do you have to say he was born in Brighton.

Where he married is not any indication of where they were born

charles william chapman (occupation tailor) was my great grandfather according to my grandpas marriage cert' of 1925 in brighton.i have sent for 12 birth certificates for Albert , my gandfather. According to his death cert' he was born in 1903 feb in brighton. there were no albert chapmans registered in brighton for that 1903 1/4. i have drawn a blank. can anyone help? lisa
