Hi
I am trying to find details of the births of William Pullin b1878 and Mary Robins b1876, Wales area. I know that they had 4 children but I have just found out, from a relative, that they believed their were 10 children! The childrens names that I have are Worthy, Wilfred, George and Jessie. However the DOB were between 1900 and 1922 so their is a great possibility of this. Any help looking on the Cencus' would be great.
Thanks
Kevin

marriage record:-

Marriages Jun 1900 (>99%)
Pullin William Alfred Cardiff 11a 571
Robins Mary Ann Cardiff 11a 571

children to go with this record:-

Births Sep 1912 (>99%)
Pullin George J Robins Cardiff 11a 1011
Births Mar 1915 (99%)
Pullin Jessie D Robins Cardiff 11a 1056

There's also a William Alfred born 1901:-

good possibility but just a guess of course.

Snap Dea!!

Catherine Report 3 Oct 2008 14:49

could be Wilfred:-

Births Mar 1916 (>99%)
Pullin Wilfred N H Pullin Newport M. 11a 527

If this is Wilfred, then this could be another one:-

This one is for sure:-
Births Sep 1922 (99%)
Pullin Worthy Robins Cardiff 11a 941

AAAhaaa!!

I thought I couldn't find 'Worthy' when I knew I should be able to! - I had only done up to 1920.

You have 'pipped' me this time Catherine.

P.S. - Why can't we find them on 1901??

Hi Catherine
As the rest are in Cardiff I would imagine that all of them would be.
Thanks for the help though

I'm sure you're right Kevin but thought I'd just ad it on just in case.

Hi Dea,
Think there must be some sort of spelling mistake or maybe they are with relatives as they have just married?

Really strange as there is a possible birth for William in 1878 Chippenham.

1901 census has a William H Pullen born 1877 Chippenham but with wife Catherine in Cardiff.

Do you not have the marriage cert for his occupation and the name & occupation of his father?

Bother rule out that birth in Chippenham as he is still living with parents in 1901 in Wiltshire

Newport + Cardiff are not too far away.

I lived in Cardiff for a while - from there got married in Caerleon which I think comes under Newport area - moved a few miles away and when I had my child he was born in the hospital in Newport + registered in Newport.

I don't think this is impossible.

As Mary's second name was Ann, what do you think of this as a possibility?

Name: William Pullin
Age in 1901: 27
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1874
Relation: Visitor
Gender: Male
Where born: Copper Works Ressa, Monmouthshire, Wales

Civil Parish: Barry
Ecclesiastical parish: Sully
Town: Barry
County/Island: Glamorgan
Country: Wales

Registration district: Cardiff
Sub registration district: St Nicholas
ED, institution, or vessel: 19
Neighbors: View others on page
Household schedule number: 39
Household Members:
Name Age
Gustav Norland 31
Jessie Norland 32
Lillian Norland 4
Annie Pullin 23
William Pullin 27 (Haulier ? Builder)

you can confirm this with the marriage cert.

Not sure what it means Kevin, didn't even see it was on the record. I'll have a look on freebmd, that's where I found the record.

OK so if I have understood correctly it is the reference of the Transcriber:-
This record was transcribed by:
Name: John Broome
Records: 53301

No... - I don't know what it means but (I think it was June Q 1935) - there is someone registered with the same name - no details of references though?????

Very strange.
