Hi,
thank you for all you replys, the surname is definately TUVEY, i was told the wrong spelling but it is John Tuvey witness on the marriage certificate, and st pancras library said the family he lived with is TUVEY, so going with that spelling now.
dont think he was born in Scotland.
i think maybe his father died when he was young and he was brought up with the Tuveys as his family.
as i have spoken to Walters son who is 81, and he said when they were children they called Walters father Grandad, but his real father died before he was married. unfortunately he doesnt know any of there first names.
so dont know if the Tuvey walters mother married was called Robert, these are just 3 names that he lived with in 1920, Charles, Robert and Ada Tuvey, but not sure where they fit.
thanks

Hi Janice,
they lived at 8, Little Randolph Street, NW in 1920,
maybe the Turners you have at number 12, are related, i was always led to believe St Pancras area is where they came from.
not sure what you mean that 13 and 16 are almhouses so they should be down as living at number 13? what are Almhouses and why would that make a difference to what number they lived at?
many thanks
Bev
