Sarjant Ernest Alfred Aston 6d 322

I am looking for information on my mother's family. Her name was Vera Annie Sarjant, born August 2, 1917. Her father was Ernest Alfred Sarjant born, I believe, in about 1893. My grandmother's maiden name was Gertrude McCrohon born Ocotber 10, 1894. All came from the Birmingham area.
My grandfather had a brother George and two sisters, Elsie and Nellie, although I vaguely remember those might not have been their first names.
I have pretty much no information about my grandmother's family. I know she had several brothers. At least one, Tom, was killed in WWI.
Would love some help if any one out there can fill in any gaps.
