I found 1881 census but under Esther Richardson (Wm Richardson just wouldn't bring it up). In any case, the actual document reads West Holme.

I dont think its Tholme.Difficult to read. He also deaf and dumb but then there is a line through that

Are you sure it's the 1881 census you were looking at? Cause I can't find this indivdual

Hi I have found an ancestor Wm. Richardson on the 1881 census, the transcript says he was born in Tholme, never heard of it. Could someone please take a look at the original for me to see if thats right. He was age 26, born c 1855 , a painter and married to Esther at 4 Love Street, Manchester. Many, many thanks Carolyn
