Im asking for help to find who was the husband of Ada L Amos i know in the 1901 census she was a widow living with her daughter and son in law in Willesden .her daughters name at the time was Ada L Harman her dob 1881 abt born Kilburn middx her mothers 1844abt she was born Islington . Now on the 1901 when Ada is living with the Harman's she is described as Deaf from childhood. and Ada on this 1881 census is noted as Deaf!!

No you will have to buy the cert from the GRO using the ref given
ie dec qtr 1918 Kensington 1a 392

certs cost £7 with the GRO ref .

buy from http://www.gro.gov.uk.

you have to register .free, and then follow the instructions on how to order. dont forget to tick the yes box on the first page of the order that you have the GRO ref

So all you need to do is select which type of cert req. put the name where asked for. tick the yes box, then put the year and the rest of GRO ref where asked for

you would need to either find the marriage or get one of the children's birth certs to find Ada's maiden name

Pamela. I am a Harman and Ada Lucy Snr was my Great grandmother. I have done a complete search of the Amos family and have all the details of Ada snr and husband Charles also Charles' parents John and Hester. The Harman side of the family is quite vast and I am still finding living cousins in the North Kensington area. If we can make contact I can let you have all of the info that I have.
