Witnesses to there marriage are william oliver gourwell and mary gourwell (not 100% sure on the surname can,t make out middle letter,s properly) in wesley chapel aughton road birkdale district of ormskirk. Joseph,s profession is a general labourer. His father (also joseph ) is not down as deceased his profession is solder or soldier.

If you know the father's names it would be easy to verify if the births I've found are the ones you are after. If you apply for the certs from the local registers office and say what their father's names are, then from my experience they would check that they are the birth certs you were after before issuing them.

Yes,Sarah,s father is named as Frederick Done on marriage cert. and occupation is boiler maker, so think that is him. Joseph is the one that confuses me most as i can,t seem to find date,s that match him. his death is recorded as 6th Jan 1956 aged 82yrs, by my calculation dosen,t that make his birth 1875 ? but don,t know were to go to from there ?.thanks

Have marriage cert of sarah and joseph, 7th april 1912 wesley chapel aughton road birkdale. Joseph,s father also had the name Joseph occupation is either soldier or solder (hard to read as it is a print) but think it is the latter. any help please.
