this is all good stuff! i found out there are no stanton's anywhere in this country before 1475 with a john stanton,or could it be there just wasn't any registered,did they have records back then? all very interesting xx only just started doing my family tree this week |

someone in my family did a tree and got back to a alfred stanton in london 1826-1830 who was a journeyman and married a woman from wales or it could be his dad who married a welsh woman not sure. My dad (Brian )Stanton received a copy of it,but can't find it anywhere. |

Alfred Stanton born 1826-1830 in london,married Ann,in 1861 census they lived in church Street,Cleobury Mortimer,shropshire with 8 month old daughter Mary Ann. It has his occupation down as a shoe maker. |
