Use the FreeBMD for the births. You can enter the surname with MMN but only ffrom 1911. |

Many thanks for that!! That gives me something to work on! Can I ask how you found those? I didn't think it was possible to work forward finding children rather than ancestors? I would like to find out the children of some other relatives but don't know how to do it other than trawl through records year to year? |

My grandma Blance Naomi Smith was born in 1919 possibly in Pontypridd, mother maiden name possibly Durbin - I am currently awaiting her birth certificate. Family understand she was dumped on Brighton Town hall steps as a baby as she had polio- not sure if true and apparently she was one of 24 children born to a romany family who passed most of their children onto other members of the family. |
