Find Ancestors

Hi, is it possible for someone to find this family on the 1841 census for me.
Robert Potter 1807 & his wife Hannah 1811
with their children
george hubbard potter 1835
hannah potter 1836
robert potter 1841
elizabeth potter 1843
sarah ann potter 1845
walter emmanuel potter 1846
john potter 1849
fanny maria potter 1851-1875
james potter 1852

I know all the children were born in norwich in norfolk & their parents in norfolk.
As the first 2 children were born before they married, Im not sure if both robert & hannah are their parents.

Yes thats correct.
I just dont know if they are both their parents. Another ancester of theirs seem to think they arnt but I like to keep an open mind.

Is this them in 1851, I don't seem to be able to find them in 1841

I wonder why there is not one for 1841, could their name be spelt wrongly.

Have you looked on the IGI?

The oldest 2 children are shown as the children of Robert Potter & Sarah Hubbard.

The rest are shown as the children of Robert Potter & Hannah Hubbard.

Could Sarah have died and Robert married her sister?

That is possible I suppose.
That would explain it, wouldnt it?

Thats great Christina, that does explain things.
I dont know much about Hannah, so I havent got anything on her siplings at all.

I havent been able to get any certificates as Ive had no dates until now.
I think Hannah was born in Trowse.
This is wonderful, to find all this out.

The Christening records for George & Hannah are extracted from the Parish records.

They should be accurate.

Just found Christening of Fanny Marie Potter 15 Feb 1852 at St Peter Southgate Norwich. Parents Robert Potter and Hannah Marie Hubbard. Also found census for 1881 Robert Potter age 74 b 1807 Pork butcher and John Potter age 31 b 1850 house painter . Resident at King Street,Norwich Saint Ethelred.
Also birth of Robert Potter 30th Aug 1807Parents Jonathan Potter and Sarah Tench.
