Hi David.
Marriage of George William Smith to Ethel Gallop.1912 Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Warrington. vol 8c 326.
Copy of this certificate will give their ages, their Father's names and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.

Possible for Ethel on 1901 but Marr cert will confirm or deny it.

Fred Gallop. 1868 33. Born Warrington
Margaret Susannah 34. 1867
Ethel. 7 1894
Fred 6 1895
Eleanor. 3. 1898.

Hope this helps.
Have you looked on the Ancestry site for WW1 records for him. I will have a look and if I find anything I will let you know. Ethel.
