I've just looked on freeBMD for marriages and there is another Cornelius Kirk marriage for December 1940 at Radford and there is Amelia Wibbuley on that page!!
You would not think that 2 Cornelius's would marry 2 Amelia's would you??
I just need to sort out which census is for each one now.

Even more confusing now!!
Maybe I picked the wrong marriage for Cornelius Kirk when I got the one to Amelia Aslin.
On a death for a Cornelius Kirk in Dec 1896 at Basford, (75 years)that matched with the date of birth being c1821. There is quite a difference on the date of birth with the other Cornelius.
I wonder if there is another marriage for him with an Emily or Emma??

On the IGI I found three children to Cornelius Kirk and Amelia who do not appear on the census that you looked up for me.
Samuel baptised 9-7-1843 at Arnold. Notts.
James and Eliza baptised 29-8-1847 at Arnold Notts.
Would you be able to see where they are on the 1851 and 1861 censu please?? Seems strange that they are not with parents on either census, unless they had all died??

Could some-one please look up the above census details for
Cornelius Kirk born c 1821 and family.
He married Emily or Amelia Aslin in December qtr 1844 at Basford, Notts.She was born in 1816 at Gedling, Notts.
