Hi,

Would someone please be kind enough to do a couple of census searches for me?

I am looking for Edward M. Hill who would be approx 14 years old. He is on the 1881 Census living at 200 Adelaide Road, Middlesex with his mother Frances M. Hill(widowed and age 67 in 1881) and 2 servants.
I am hoping that the 1871 census has his father on it.

I am also looking for Rosa S. Marshall who would be approx 6 years old. She is on the 1881 census living at The Heath Hurst Lodge, Middlesex with her father John Thomas Marshall(age 55 in 1881 census), her step mother Alice and her older brother George F. Marshall, who was 23 in 1881.
I am hoping that the 1871 census has her mother named on it.

If anyone was able to find this info or any other relevant info regarding these 2 families would be very much appreciated.

That could be the correct marriage as Rosa was born c.1865.

Who are the other 2 people then?

Going back to the possible marriage in 1863

I can find John Eves with wife Maria in Kingston in 1871.

So could be the right marriage for John to Rosa.


You really need to buy some certs.

Yes marriage could be right for John and Rosa. Don't know who John Eves and Maria are tho.

Have got certs ordered but thought i could get some clues in the mean time.
