Hello Alan, as you've noticed the thread is old so the posters probably aren't checking back.

You can click on their names to try to contact them by direct message. That's the way contact is made on this site so emails aren't necessary. It's actually against GR guidelines to post email addresses on the message boards as it isn't a private forum. It would be a good idea to edit your post to remove your email - if anyone wants to get in touch they'll just click on your name to contact you.

Hi

I have only just seen these messages - sorry 4 years late!

I had an uncle, George Redvers Buller Neville, born 1900 in Edmonton, north London. He was named after a British General Redvers Buller who was fighting in the Boer War at the time.

I also had an Aunt, Beatrice Watson, who lived in Cape Cod not far from Boston. Not sure if this is all a coincidence or not?

I have no recollection of a "Redvers" moving to Canada but an Albert Neville, a nephew, of the above George, did in the late 1940s/early 1950s.

If you need any further details it may be easier to contact me on [email protected]

I believe my gt.uncle Redvers Neville moved to Canada to the Toronto area. Have no idea when but he was in touch with an aunt of mine in Boston sometime in the 70's I think. I know he had children so maybe someone out there can help me out. My aunt Ernestina sadly died a couple of years ago and I have so many questions unanswered especially about Redvers and Canada. He would hav e originated from Oxfordshire Area I think. If not it could have been Droitwich Worcs area.
Thanks a lot
