don't give up - it can be done - my Grandfather was David John Williams - South Wales and great grandfather David Williams and so on right back - fortunately all found now back to late 1700's but it takes a bit of doing - I must admit I had help

You need the birth cert.......no other way to proceed with any hope of accuracy

unfortunetly we do not know when johns mother died as my wifes family did not tell her for a few years all we know is the 90s we do not know her maiden name or christian name only that she lived in cimla
sorry i know its not very helpfull but this is all the info i have

You don't actually need to locate him to compile the family tree.....just look for his birth reg'n..........and work back from there......

The mother's death reg'n will have her DOB.........do you know her maiden name?

What was the mother's name at death? In which year did she die?

I'm sure everyone on here will do their best but a John David Williams born in Wales is a pretty tough call!

Busy looking thru the births now but I may have to leave, if thats the case I am sure others will be around to give you a hand.

i am trying to do my wifes family tree however i can find no information on her father his name is john david williams born in 1950 or 51 born in neath south wales he lived in skewen wales in the early 80s then tonna wales in 1983 then moved to london in the 90s we can find no trace of him after that . my wifes grandmother had his parents address in cimla wales they have both since died johns mother in the mid 90s we cannot even look up the address in cimla as she also has died can anyone help please
