I was beginning to think that as well-They're all a bit of a mix up-If they didn't marry and didn't register the children I have no idea how to findout who Susan was! I can't see him in 1871, and so although the ages seem to be out (nothing unusual in my experience) the 1868 death could well be him. Only way to get a better idea is to order the death cert to see if Susan was the informant.

It has also crossed my mind that as George seems to have been in his forties when they "took up" he was possibly married before (even though he's stated unmarried) and Susan just took his name. Can't see a marriage for them.

I Have just found a death of a george tapp in Exeter born 1816 and died 1868-This would fit with Susan being called Tapp adn a widow-and ties in with Geogres marriage cert naming his father as a a George Tapp-Now I would be so grateful if anyonecan seee this George Tapp who died in 1868 in 1861 census_ he would be age about 45-If anybody can be bothered? (also don't have Susan and kids as 'Tapps' either If anybody would like to help thats great but I don't want to offend anybody by asking.

Thats right-Thanks 13 March 1886.-It names Geogre (1859)'s Father as Geogre Tapp-a Mason-The only one of these I an find is Geogre Tapp from teignmouth born about 1818-Which originally seemed to Be Susan Tapps brother! butif she is a widow-he is still alive I think in 1871 living in Exeter with his sister Mary Ann tapp and her two children (She is unmarried)-so all a bit of a puzzle.

Thanks-Yes I've got them from then on- Fish MMM Bet they smelled nice at the end of the day! still can't find him in 1881-Think he may have been at his majesty's pleasure or under a different name! -didn't marry till 1886. Ca anybody see the Susan Webber for 1861 nad check whether she said she was married on that one (I think it was Cathedral Close Catherine Street Exeter) -If she's unmarried then maybe I AM looking for a Webber not a Tapp?

Hi-Definitely more thought needed on this one then! Geogre is definitely mine- (Although he's vanished in 1881 ) he reappears in 1891 nad I then have his marriage later on.and have him in 1901. Bessy I also have (Called Elziabeth and Married a Mapledoram) So now looking to find out who Susan was! Don't have her for Concrete in 1861-only a possible as a Webber inExeter (with Bessy and George). So maybe I'm looking for a Susan Webber from teignmouth now? Thanks for all your help everybody.

I thought she was the daughterof John and Mary Tapp and had siblings George andMary Ann who also came to Exeter-But with this new date-they don't fit! HHHMMMM!

George Tapp born C1859 Exeter devon-I have had this looked up before-but I forgot to write the address down-Just wondering if some really kind person could have a look for me?-Just thought it might help me for 1881 (Still looking!) Have now found in police records for 1881 adn 1883 so I know he was around. Help really appreciated.
