If you are a little more specific about what you'd like to know ...

You have the 5 children's names from the NSW birth registration database? Are you looking for their descendants?

His birth:

V1834471 129/1834
CLARKE MICHAEL
PATRICK
MARY

If you search there

http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=births

for births

surname clarke
father patrick
mother mary

I searched 1810-1860

you get 8 births 1824-1834, likely his siblings. You would have to check the death records to see whether they all likely survived infancy.

Hello KathrynB, Yes I have checked the deaths from 1820, and found no entries for these names as children. As the names are fairly common for that time have found quite a few entries in Marriages & deaths later on, so am trying to work from there. Thank you for your help, maybe an unusual name would have helped.Sue.

Hello Margaret, Thank you for the info. It seems the family moved more to the Quirindi/Tamworth NSW area. Just pinning down which ones have the family connection, have had a bit of success with some so will just keep on going. Sue.

Hi Sue,
This may be a long shot. I to am researching the Clarke Family from around the Maitland NSW area. The dates are some years later than you were asking about
My fathers first wife was Annie Matilda Clarke (b) 1900 East Maitland. Her fathers name James Joseph Clarke, mother Annie Wild married East Maitland 1897 BDM records spell her surname as Wilde.
There was a James J born 1867 to Joseph & Matilda Clarke 1867 so sending for b/c to see if that is any help.
Do any you have any of the above names in your research.
Regards Diane

Hello Diane, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. There is a possibility of a connection as I am still trying to trace some of the Clarkes. Would you like to view our tree and see if something connects. Sue.
