Church Records
According to the GENUKI webpage for Stepney you can access some records at:

I am looking for the deaths of Eliza Hutchinson and Benjamin Bortis Hutchinson last heard of in Wapping in 1827 I found out he was a bankrupt in 1827 and have recently read that they were put in prison checking various prisons. Any help would be appreciated Sheila

I cannot find them on 1841 census that is why I think they might be dead Eliza was born 1796 in Bristol no idea when or where he was born. Thanks Sheila

Check the family search site. If they have the burial films available for the areas in question you can order those in to view at your local LDS church. It's only a couple of pounds to order the film and you get to access it for about a month - and renewable as well if no-one else wants it.

You need to look at familysearch library/records page though - not many deaths have been transcribed onto IGI. If you get stuck ring your local LDS church and ask - they're very helpful.
