Selena in South East London

Selena in South East London Report 23 Jul 2008 19:13

Just for info, birth are registered by quarters. That means that a birth registered during January, February and March is listed as MARCH quarter.

Births registered during April, May and June are under JUNE. So the birth above for a Martha born April would be registered under JUNE.

My dad was born end of November 1917. You had six weeks to register the birth and he was registered in January 1918 and listed under MARCH 1918. Hope that makes sense.

However that doesn't sort out the wrong year for you! Maybe who ever registered her death got the year of birth slightly wrong.

Let us know if you ever find the right birth!
