hi im looking for a martha mclean born 1878 died 1968 in glasgow married thomas taylor either 1897 or 1899 dnt have any info on thomas taylor and i cant find a martha mclean i can find a margaret mclean married to thomas taylor i have been told that they cant be the same person as i thought maybe martha was short for margaret i do no they had a child jane waldie cairns mclean taylor born 1901 died 1966 married james muir in 28th dec 1923, jane and james were my great grand parents. please if any1 can help that wld be great x they are all from glasgow around lanark area

you will be able to find all you need there.... if you try and find the childrens births, you can download their cert immediately and on it will be the date of the parents marriage (this will cut the search down for you) and will also list the parents full names (inc the mother)

hi i have been there and cnt find anything and on jane's marraige cert it has her name as martha mclean but i just cant find anything on a martha mclean thanx

she was born around 1901 she was married 1923 and she was 22 years old when she was married he name is jane waldie cairns mclean taylor

You have the birth cert and have the year wrong...."child jane waldie cairns mclean taylor born 1901"

The marriage you have found is it for the 30th April 1897??

What is largely obvious is that they were married in 1897 and Jane was born in 1900, so they will all appear on the Scottish census of 1901, have you found them there?
