Hi, I'm currently searching for info on James Joseph Buckley.

He was born to Thomas Buckley and Emma Leadbetter in 1892 in Wigan, Lancashire.

According to census returns his father was from Wigan and mother Northampton but from family sources say there was an American connection with his mother and at around 18 months old, Emmas sister took him to live in America (possibly Pennsylvania).

If this is true then he would of gone over there with either Mary or Florence. Apparently he lived til 1982 and had at least 2 sons (Jim and Mike).

I've never traced anything out of the UK before so not sure where to start really here but if anyone could offer any tips it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
