Lots of the midlands carriers and their boats appear on the hnboc site, worth googling the names of a few canal carriers too if they are relevant. |

Braunston has the canal museum, also worth contacting are British Waterways, they have a large collection of archive material from the early days of the canals (not just the post nationalisation of the waterways). |
