I have the marriage certificate for an Emma Smith b Sudbury Suffolk. aged 18 at the time of her marriage in 1870. She has no parents listed on the certificate. The witnesses to the wedding do not appear to be significant. If I purchased the birth certificates for every Emma Smith born about the right time in the same region how would I know which one was likely to be mine. Can anyone give me any pointers as to where I go from here or is this now a complete brick wall?
