The Durham site shows alot more if you register...you can then download the full record for a very small fee.... and to be fair the fee is alot less than travelling there!!! |

Maybe before then-not sure. I seem to have her on newbottle lane, houghton le spring in 41,51. Then Middlesbrough in 61,71 and with son as a widow in 81,91 in Linthorpe. Cant find details of who else in households with her at moment as files not handy! |

I am looking for info on marriage of James Castles c1800-1881 to Alice (possibly Rudd) born Ferryhill, Durham c1815. They had a son John Castles born 1851 in Houghton le Spring. |
