	Yes she was. according to lancs bmd births Joshua's mother's maiden name was Lilley. Joan

	Hi Hannah The marriage of Joshua is on Lancsbmd. He married Elizabeth Ellen Smalley in 1932 at Chorley Reg Off.

	You would need a birth cert to confirm his parents, his marriage cert should name his father but it isn't gauranteed. You would need to either apply to the local reg office for his birth cert or trawl the GRO index and order via the GRO. Lancashire has a searchable bmd index, not yet complete but worth a look. http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/ Glen
